The Hug is a piece in The Surface Collection for DESU Design. The Surface Line is a series of serving or presentation dishes made of solid surface. DESU’s principal asked me to design my own piece for the line, at which time I developed a concept of a bottomless bowl. The concept eventually became known as the HUG and became the best selling piece in the Surface Line”
