Japanese Home Concept Ideas – Tsunagu by Kengo Kuma

Who teach about minimalist for first time? I agree if the answer is Japan. With the main characteristic of uses simply yet practical material, also presenting space saving ideas and artistic accent, the Japanese house plan or Japanese interior design boast to the world and was one of the talking points at Milan this year. Like this awesome interior plan that fully influenced with traditional Japanese home by using surprisingly wall material that made by bamboo and resin. Designed by famous designer Kengo Kuma, this home installation presented in Salone del Mobile Milan.

With the name Tsunagu that meaning connect (Japanese) this home remind about hanging fabric/panel from ceiling that usually can we found at traditional Japanese home. The idea that to connect creates comfortable living space has become reality in Tsunagu concept. The interior design divided by transparent wall panel (sumushiko) , so word “connect” is very appropriate with all the theme. With using this wall paneling, it will decreasing the sense of boundaries. Tsunagu aims to create a comfortable living space based on four themes of design, security, ecology, and harmony with natural surrounding. Look so rustic but nice and creating calm environment.
