The First Green School On Earth with LEED Platinum Award by Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects
How would it feel like having a school which consumes only 31% energy and features some incredible green features? Well it certainly is great. This is the first school which obtains LEED Platinum certification for LEED Schools Program at San Mateo County. This is a sustainable green learning center designed by Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects. Else than at home where you can teach your kids on saving up energy, at this school they will continue further about what it means by living green. At this Roman Catholic School they also use fruits and veggies which are organic, and they’re fresh from the garden which goes straight into the cafeteria. The room holds 73 skylights to let the natural in into the classrooms so this means less daily lamp being used. With ten thousand square foot organic garden, I can imagine how fascinating and great place this is to learn. This might be the first Green School in this planet called Earth.
