Modern Freemans Bay House by Belinda George Architects
Belinda George Architects have projected this simple modern home design located in Auckland New Zealand. This modern freemans bay house design was completed in 2004. The brief was to create a home which allowed by clients to live alongside their grown children own sense of privacy. Therefore a separate two bedroom ‘flat’ was created over the garage on the street side. The main living areas are on the ground floor opening onto a swimming pool with the main bedroom above capturing the sea and city views. We were interested in using the action of ‘folding’ and ‘wrapping’ with this house to both enclosed and open up spaces.
